Wellness, Work & Spirit: Reducing Stress and Burnout
April 22, 2008 7pm

Our health is of primary importance and thousands of dollars and hundreds of hours are lost personally and professionally from the impact of stress, burnout, and disconnection from our Spirit. What are organizations and individuals doing to restore balance in health care? What is the correlation between maintaining effectiveness in the work environment and feeding our soul? How do you do it? How do organizations do it? What innovative and interesting programs are taking place at work? What is the role of spirituality and sprit in personal health care choices?.

Join The Reflection

Amber Hanlin-Rowney, our Dialogue Anthropologist, is looking for collaborators. On a mission to reflect on our experiences in the Dialogues and to begin to understand how we come into deeper, more transformative (e.g. consciousness-raising) dialogue, we invite anyone who is interested to join in this reflection.

And a bit more about the Dialogues ...

Magic happens when people engage in genuine dialogue. Some call it resonance, or texture, or space. Philosopher Martin Buber calls it "the between." It happens frequently at 12-step meetings of all types. In 2003, Renee Levi completed her 315-page dissertation on collective resonance, a wonderful examination of this group phenomenon. She has posted a summary of it on the website for the Collective Wisdom Initiative. We are grateful to Renee for allowing us to link to her work, since it provides a much deeper understanding of what's possible when people come together in dialogue.
